Item Description
Recognized as the very first comic book price guide, predating Robert Overstreet's first edition by five years. ©1965 Argosy Book Shop of Los Angeles, CA. 5.25x8.25" softcover price guide w/36 pages. Comes w/separate sheet explaining what Argosy pays for "Old Comic Books" and provides spaces to list comics user wished to sell. Guide notes values for Mint books as "Action Comics" #1 - $100, "Detective Comics" #27 - $80, "Marvel Mystery Comics" #1 - $100, "Amazing Fantasy" #15 - $5, "Showcase" #4 - $7.50, "Tales From The Crypt" #1 - $10. Sheet notes buying prices are half of guide prices. Guide has a few spots of moisture to cover and bottom staple is pulled but all remains intact. Fine overall. Sheet also has a few small faint spots of moisture and is VF/Exc. Rare and historic, w/less than 50 copies known.
