Item Description

12.5" tall w/stuffed cloth body w/movable head, felt ears and composition shoes. Elaborate outfit, mostly felt, consists of jacket w/plastic buttons, ascot w/bow, starched felt hat and checkered cotton shorts. Missing string whiskers and rubber tail. This doll was made only in 1936 for sale at Easter. Face has all-over evenly tanned w/age. Outfit shows slight trace of aging/dust soiling but color remains strong. Underside of one shoe has seldom seen tag w/full body image of Mickey Mouse along w/Walt Disney and Knickerbocker name. Undersides of shoes have some scattered crazing w/.5" hole on underside w/o label. Tops of shoes have moderate dust soiling. At some point, Mickey's oilcloth eyes came off and were replaced by pair of matching buttons. A truly rare and exceptional doll. Fine/VF. Just the second example we've offered in our 50 years.
