Item Description

Original cardboard box w/"R.H. Macy & Co. Inc." imprint on lid contains 12.5" tall painted composition body and head (and crown) doll w/segmented wooden arms/legs and original fabric cape. "King-Little" name decal on chest w/full 1939 Paramount Pictures copyright. Designed by J.L. Kallus and made by Cameo Doll Company, doll was then distributed by Ideal Novelty & Toy Co., Inc. This doll was apparently purchased when the movie came out by sisters who were collecting dolls. Macy's box from the period is marked in ink w/number that corresponds to string tag w/the same number and their names. Doll has been stored in this box since new and aside from 1.25 stabilized hairline crack at bottom left where coat meets bottom of shirt, this example is as nice a one of these Cameo Gulliver dolls come. Box is lightly aged w/some scattered wear. Fine/VF overall. Doll has two small paint flakes to eyes but is o/w VF overall w/full chest decal.
