Item Description
This 12" tall (counting marble base) painted bronze statue was sculpted by Bill Toma (who has been under contract w/Walt Disney Attractions and The Walt Disney Company since 1980) and issued at the 1999 Official Disneyana Convention as a "Safari Adventure Limited Edition" of just 50 (as well as two artist proofs). This is No. 50 of 50 and was originally sold for $1,600. The statue depicts Pinocchio as Donkey Boy, suspended underwater by having his tail tied around large rock. He looks in wonder at seahorse by his arm. Underside of base has small "Official Disneyana Convention" brass plaque and has also been signed by Toma. Base of statue itself bears incised "50/50" edition number as well as the artist's name. Mint. Comes w/original Certificate of Verification issued by the convention, which also has matching edition number, Toma's signature and convention stamp. Wonderful display piece. Comes w/original plain cardboard shipping box/packaging w/Walt Disney Attractions, Inc. mailing label. Box shows expected wear from mailing and is Fine overall.
