Item Description
First is 1.5" button by Bastian from the 1930s used as a give-away by the "Toledo Paramount Theater" and with added inscription "From Tom Mix & Tony." Some faint tiny age marks on outer rim edge and an 1/8" hairline cello crack by Tony's rear leg that catches reflected light. Still displays nicely and with full gloss. A scarce local issue we've seen only about six times. Second is 7/8" litho from 1935 issued by Canvas Products Co., St. Louis. Five of these buttons were given with the purchase of a Tom Mix tent. This is the litho version although a rare cello version is also known. Third with illustration of "Tom Mix & Tony" is one of 25 buttons in a set of movie stars issued by Button Gum. Next are five buttons picturing the stars of the Tom Mix radio show sponsored by Ralston. Tony and Mike Shaw have some scratching and paint wear and are just Good but those showing Curley Bradley, Jane and the black cook Wash are Exc. to NM. Last and from 1980 is the button used for the "National Tom Mix Festival" held in "DuBois, Pa." This is 2". All are NM to Mint except as noted.
