Item Description
This oval celluloid piece is 2-1/8" tall by .25" thick. Extending from the celluloid reverse are a pair of 7/16" long threaded posts each with a nut and apparently intended to be mounted on a leather horse bridle. Only the second example we've seen in our 50 years and perhaps the one we handled many years ago. The front of the piece has a rectangular design and recessed beneath clear celluloid is a full figure of Betty wearing only high heel shoes and a very brief slip. No maker's name or text. A beautifully crafted obviously early 1930s era celluloid. Rare and Exc.
