Item Description
2" wide by 2.75" long heavy gold plastic with interior compartment to hold a battery, which allows a bulb in the front end to light. This piece does not contain the bulb, battery or spring but the end cap with a brass keychain is here and the interior parts are very easily replaced. This 1951 premium was offered only briefly as there were material restrictions due to the Korean War. The concept was to swivel the end cap to make the bulb flash on and off thereby sending signals. The end cap is the critical piece of this premium as it was frequently lost and most surviving examples are without it.  Each side of the main barrel has raised portraits of Straight Arrow along with his name. Only our fourth example complete with end cap in our 50 years. Note the side edge of the end cap has the secret club word "Ta-Wato-Kao". One side of the piece has a little dark reddish tone mixed in with the deep gold plastic but this is as made. The parts that are here are essentially Mint.
