Item Description
7/8" with back paper by W&H used only in 1896. This firm began in 1889 to manufacture L.C. Smith shotguns in Fulton, N.Y. Like so many industrial companies of the era, in 1896 they took advantage of the bicycle craze to produce their branded bicycle named "The Hunter." Keeping with their origins as a gun manufacturer, pictured is a hunting dog with game bird in its mouth, all surrounded by a graphic representing a bicycle wheel. NM and displaying Mint. Rare and our last example well exceeded $200.
