Item Description
7/8" reading "Mickey Mouse Spingle-Bell-Chicko-K." Couple of very faint hairline scratches barely show in reflected light. With normal viewing totally clean and with perfect centering and high gloss. Reverse has Bastian Bros. makers stamp. The Mickey Mouse Magazine, produced in 1933, was a special project of Kay Kamens that he felt would promote Mickey movies, clubs and endorsed products. The special password was "Spingle Bell-Chicko" and was used throughout the magazine but when something special happened such as a good deed or the appearance of a new product, the letter "K" was added to the end of the phrase to signify it. The use of the password was promoted through distribution of Mickey Mouse Magazine and this pinback as free giveaways at various movie stores and theaters. Very rare as the promotion lasted only two months in January and February 1933.
