Item Description
First is very unusual combination watch fob/calendar device 1-7/16" tall. Three pieces of metal are held together by a single rivet at the center. One side of the piece has spread wing eagle and on this side the days of the week are laid out in a row against a cut-out area where numerals from one to thirty one can show. Opposite side has a notch near the top and above the word "Days". The dial is set to display a particular month and then a window below displays a number from 1 to 12. For example, if the notch is set to "Sep. 30" the window below displays numeral "9". This side has additional text "Souvenir San Francisco 1915" and carries smaller text "Pat. Sept. 15, 1914." A little minor tarnish and a little loss of some of the silver flashing. VF and the only example we've seen. Next is a 2.25" real photo button with the collet holding a fabric ribbon that has original safety pin fastener on the reverse. Dated for the single day of "Oct. 5, 1915." Back paper by San Francisco maker B. Pasquale Co. NM. A pair of rarities.
