Item Description
1.75" without back paper or maker's name. This button names three breeds of horses unlike one known to be made by Bastian and in use 1905-1907. It is likely this three breed version is the earlier of the two varieties. Top text reads "America's Largest Importers Of German Coach/Percheron & Belgian Stallions." The five breed variety includes the names "Shire & Hackney" that do not appear on this version. Superb color and high gloss. This design is the earliest and most beautiful button we know of related to horses. Rare.
