Item Description
11.25x23.25" frame w/two-sided glass feature 5-7/8x17-7/8" fully opened die-cut theater herald for the 1928 stage production of "Animal Crackers" (which would be adapted for film by Paramount in 1930) comedy starring The Marx Bros.  (Groucho, Chico, Harpo and Zeppo). All are pictured w/large caricature heads atop small bodies riding various wild animals. Backside features photo images from the film, including long line of chorus girls, Harpo playing the harp and all four Marx Bros. in period costumes. Herald features New York's 44th Street Theatre imprint. Folded as issued and Exc. as professionally framed. Neat two-sided display. Rare.
