Item Description
3.75x4-7/8x1" deep tray has raised Art Nouveau scroll design inside rim and center of tray features full body image of mustachioed "The Yellow Kid" wearing top hat, monocle, fancy top coat and gloves, holding cane and wearing spats on his o/w bare feet. Text on coat reads "Me An De Prince Is Alright - I'm Goin To Settle Dis Irish Question - Gee I Wonder If Lord Dunraven Will Cut Me," a reference to Irish land reform. Underside is marked "Carlsbad - Austria" w/image of lion. c. late 1890s. Vintage price sticker also on underside. Rim and inner edge of tray both have gold luster accents, which show some scattered wear. Image displays Exc. while tray is VF overall. Rare.
