Item Description
All are from the early 1900s. The pointing finger bookmark is 2-5/8" and promotes "Wanamaker's For All Books." The die cut birds are 3.25" tall issued "Compliments Of The Standard Publishing Co." The hand is by Pulver c. 1903 while the other is by W&H. The remaining six bookmarks are 4.5 to 5.5" long. The first by Cruver promotes Boyles College. Second is for Hoskin Store, Philadelphia and has 1904 calendar on reverse. No maker name but appears to be by W&H. Next with "Memorial Day" choice color scene of veterans at military grave is also from Hoskins and carries name of maker Bastian. Next with pansy is for San Diego "Loring's Bookstore." Next is from the Sunday school supply house David C. Cook and carries a verse from the Bible taken from Matthew 5-3-11. Last is from Denver "The Joslin Dry Goods Company" and carries 1904 calendar on the back. Made by W&H. The first Hoskins Store example is lightly tanned but still VF and the rest are NM to Mint.
