Item Description
First, and likely 1896, is 8.5" "McKinley". VF. Second is 1896 for McKinley "Sound Money". 5" with pair of tiny pin holes in each corner. Tiny text "Westfall, Printer". Fine. Third is paper with text at top "Stick A Pin Here". 8" with pin hole in each corner. Dated for 1896 election day and with classic slogan "Bryan And Free Silver 16 To 1". Also with text directed at McKinley's campaign manager Mark Hanna. Exc.  Fourth by Shaw, Phila and with stickpin on back is striking 5.5" silver on bright red rebus design that reads "Death To Hog Combine/Hog Killing Time Is At Hand". One of the best anti trust/monopoly themed ribbons.  Extreme top edge at left has 1/2" hairline separation not seen from the front. Tiny separation bottom right corner. Super clean. VF. Last is rare ribbon naming Montana's mining intensive "Silver Bow County" and dated 1900. Top text "United We Stand/Eight Hours And Victory". Below is circle divided into quadrants and naming four major political groups of the era "Democratic Party/Labor Party/Peoples Party/8-Hour Republican". Slight weave stress on letter "E"of "United" and slightest traces of age stain. Fine and a great artifact of the decades long labor struggle for the 8-Hour work day. Ted Watts Collection.
