Item Description
7.5" tall painted pressed steel toy telephone w/3" tall thick die-cut cardboard Mickey Mouse figure attachment. N.N. Hill Brass Co. c. 1934. N.N. Hill produced a number of different Disney telephone toys, including several variations of Mickey phones one of which was a bank, but this is the standard toy phone-only variety w/plated receiver (also produced w/painted receiver). Rotary dial w/bell. Original cord attaches painted wood handset to base. Mickey figure has edge wear and scattered aging. Creasing at ear and elbow w/some separation of cardboard layers. VG/Fine. Green painted parts have small scattered paint nicks while silvered metal dial shows some oxidation. Stick is a bit loose but still attached. Fine overall. Rare candlestick variety, only the second example of this variety we've offered in our 50 years.
