Item Description
The companion Shadow Club stamp to this rare pulp premium was only offered by publisher Street & Smith April 1 to the end of Aug. 1934, and we assume this Doc Savage stamp was offered around the same time, which accounts for its rarity. It consists of a 1x1x1.25" tall wooden handle w/curved sides for easy grasping. Underside has rubber stamp bearing the logo of "Doc Savage Club" w/large "Member" text across top. Stamp produces a complete ink stamp as shown in our photo. Some lt. wear/aging but VF overall. Rare. Only the second example of this rare stamp we've offered in our 50 years, the other selling for $1,302 in our March 2015 auction.
