Item Description
3" dia. button produced for Muhammad Ali's Feb. 20, 1976 fight against Jean-Pierre Coopman in Puerto Rico. NG Slater Corp. maker name on curl. Photo of Ali at center is flanked by Puerto Rican and American flags w/"Float Like A Butterfly - Sting Like A Bee - 'Ali'" text at top/bottom. Smaller 2-1/8" dia. button features same design, but is incorrect size factory error. Third button at 2-1/8" is also incorrect size factory error button, produced for "The Rumble In The Jungle" Oct. 29, 1974 fight between Ali and George Foreman. Button features photo image of Ali at center against outline of Africa. This is version w/date below Ali (also produced w/o). Both of these factory error buttons are rare oddities for the Ali collector. All are bright, glossy and NM.
