Item Description
24.5x37.75". Thin paper mounted on linen. Graphic of soldier and rifle w/text translating to "Enlist In The Militias Of The POUM" (Party Of Marxist Unification). Fragile paper w/vertical and horizontal folds, toning, tears and scattered paper loss throughout image. Just Good. This poster was clearly used to promote enlistment and has battle scars from its over 80 years of existence. Despite the condition this is a rare artifact w/a powerful graphic that has a certain charm as is and could be repaired by a skilled paper conservator. Ted Watts Collection.
