Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 4.75" tall clock w/metal case. This is rare 1938 version. Clock face is marked "Par Autorisation Walt Disney - Bayard - Blanche Neige - Made In France" and is more elaborate than later versions. This version features hands designed as tree branches, each w/small bird attached, top center has additional animated bluebird attachment (designed to look like it's perched on Snow White's hand) which moves as seconds tick. Each numeral includes illustration of either one of the Dwarfs, forest animals or Dwarf's cottage. Clock and alarm both work and clock is Exc./NM w/just trace wear. Comes w/original paper over cardboard box, which shows obvious aging/wear w/corner tip wear and some edge splits. VG. Very rare, the first example we've seen in our 50 years. Also comes w/booklet featuring repeated images from box. French text on back loosely translates to "Clock Of Quality - On Sale In All Watchmakers." Booklet has some scattered handling wear/aging and is Fine overall.
