Item Description
23x35" screened onto medium white stock. Features a portrait of the Black Panther Party Minister of Defense surrounded by a burst of psychedelic dayglo colors. A light vertical fold at center that is now well flattened and only breaks the surface paper marginally along top center not affecting the portrait of Newton. VF displaying Exc. This image, produced by Bill Oliver c. 1969, is perhaps the finest blending of the radicalism and psychedelia that was occurring in the Bay Area during the late 1960s.
