Item Description
General Mills Kix Cereal issued a total of 24 different premium plastic airplanes in a series in 1946. There were six numbered sets w/four planes per set. Each set was ordered separately for a box top and 10¢. This is a complete set of all 24 gray plastic planes ranging in size from .75" to 2.5" long. Included are - Mustang, P-38 Lightning, Liberator, Marauder, P-47 Thunderbolt, Hellcat, Fortress, B-25 Mitchell, P-40 Warhawk, P-39 Airacobra, P-61 Black Widow, Avenger, Corsair and others. All are Exc. All but one set comes w/correct series numbered mailer box. All come w/folders and clipped panel from cereal box showing specific planes in each set. Boxes shows varying degrees of wear, w/most having complete mailing labels. Rare as a complete set, the only other complete set we've ever offered sold for $885.
