Auction 188 - Part II
Item numbers 934 though 2512 in auction 188
Item Description
8x10". 1933. Text at bottom reads "Michigan Radio Network." Brace Beemer portrays the Lone Ranger. Photo was taken at the famous Belle Isle, MI. appearance. This marked the first time the Lone Ranger had ever appeared in person. The original photo showed a huge crowd of kids, trees and police officers, but for this, they were removed and replaced with this outdoor scene. A mask was also painted on, covering the lower half of Beemer's face (at this time, they still hadn't quite figured out what The Lone Ranger looked like). Moderate margin wear and aging. VG, but image remains clean and if matted to cover margins, would display VF.
