Item Description
19" tall stuffed fabric body doll w/nice fabric outfit (including original felt longshirt) and original felt hat w/"Dopey" name silk-screened across the front. Doll has composition hands and head w/movable ventriloquist doll jaw which operated via drawstring on back of his head. Complete w/thin leather belt w/metal buckle and all three of the plastic buttons on the front of Dopey's shirt. Ideal, 1938. Doll has fade to front of orange shirt and majority of flocked surface is missing off of top of one shoe. Pants have some scattered staining. Hands and face have typically surface hairlines w/.75" and 1" cracks at base of neck around opening for jaw's drawstring. Back of one ear also has .5" hairline crack. Some small flakes off blue paint on eyes. Hat has two streaks of staining from original staples used to attach hat to head. Hat is loose at one staple and affixed to head at other. Hat has scattered age spotting. Fine overall. Scarce doll.
