Item Description
Lot of three 1950s school bags. Each approx. 9x12" vinyl/leatherette bag with leather closures and metal buckle clasps. First bag has 3.5x3.5" raised Vacuform plastic image of Lone Ranger on front. Pencil compartment w/snap closure on flap reads "The Lone Ranger - Hi-Yo Silver." Original 2.5x3" tag notes "The Lone Ranger Bag" and has "The Lone Ranger Hi-Yo Silver Official Seal" consisting of "LR" horseshoe with Lone Ranger, Tonto, Silver portraits and silver bullet sitting on top of Lone Ranger mask. Tag shows moderate wear w/creases. VG/Fine. National Leather Mfg. Co., Inc. ©1948 TLR, Inc. Bag has some lt. cracking to vinyl along top fold but is o/w Exc. Old store stock. Rare in this condition and w/tag. Other bags feature printed images of Lone Ranger on Silver, one bag also includes Tonto on Scout. These two show general wear/aging and are Fine to VF overall.
