Item Description
27.25x40.5" poster features large newspaper headline design w/smaller image of man w/film camera at lower left. Printed by Joseph H. Tooker Litho Co. Inc. ©1945 Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corp. Some headlines of note include - "U-Boat Sinking Off East Coast," referencing the German U-Boat attacks off the East Coast in 1942, "Gen. MacArthur Holding Japs" in referencing MacArthur's Philippines Campaign, "Air Tragedy," noting actress Carole Lombard's Jan. 16, 1942 death in an airplane crash w/a few other headlines not related directly to the war. Poster was originally folded and has now been linen-mounted. Some minor color touch-ups along fold lines w/small spots of restoration at fold crease intersections. As linen-mounted, poster now displays VF.
