Item Description
3x6.25x5-3/8" tall box. Made by E.J. Kahn & Co., Chicago. Late 1940s. 5-5/8" tall plastic with figure of Lone Ranger holding round lasso which has coin slot on top and wire behind his rear boot. Silver is rearing up with coin slot on his saddle. Base has rope design text on each side "The Lone Ranger." When coin is placed in lasso and wire lever is pushed down, coin flies into Silver's back. Box is lightly tanned. Light handling creases/wear. Box remains sturdy and VF. Bank has light color loss on Ranger's stationary arm. Complete with coin trap. Light surface dust. VF. Great design. Rare. Only the third boxed bank we've seen. Also included is 5x8" ad from Johnson Smith & Co. advertising this bank for $1.25.
