Item Description
This famous give-away was created by master of premiums for kids, designer Sam Gold. Millions of these 13/16" litho buttons went into post-war cereal boxes issued in five sub-sets of 18 (each sub-set included Superman) over a three year period so in the end 86 different comprise a set. The buttons inspired million of kids to be collectors- some temporarily, but many for a lifetime. As a unit this set breaks down as: five VG, 15 Fine, ten VF and 56 Exc. to Mint. Those in the lower grades have degrees of  paint wear and about five of these have a surface dent. With 56 Exc. to Mint a very nice set as or a great base to work from if upgrading is desired.
