Item Description
Sizes are 1-1/8" up to 2.25" for the larger button that was worn by store clerks. These are pretty much c. 1950 with the exception of the first item "Bobby Benson/Special Captain" which is from his 1930s radio program sponsored by Hecker Cereals. Next is the one and only pin-back button we know of for "Sky King" c. 1950 and with slogan "Safety Is No Accident." Center right has .25" scratch but otherwise very little wear on this scarce litho. The "Tex Austin Inquirer" button seems to be related to a comic strip based on the life of a rodeo promoter named John Van "Tex" Austin also known as "King Of The Rodeo" for his efforts to promote the sport outside of the west. This has light age mostly on the outer rim edge. Next is a litho picturing Bill Williams in his role as Kit Carson which aired in syndication 1951-1955. Next four items relate to "Range Rider" with the red litho at center having numerous but small scratches and the blue button having some dark age dots on the extreme outer edge. The other two buttons are NM displaying Mint. Last are a pair of local personality TV buttons naming Buck Barry and "Bob Atcher". All are Exc. to Mint except as noted.
