Item Description
After opening a savings account the bank awarded the child one of five different buttons in the smaller size of 1-3/8". These litho buttons carry names: Tenderfoot, Wrangler, Bronc Buster, Bulldogger and Trail Boss. The red one in this group has a few tiny white scratches but nothing major and the rest are Exc. to NM. Also a litho, but with metal back and bar pin, is the 2.25" "Straw Boss" rank which was given when the account reached $250. Then, as the same type of litho, when the account reached $500 the ultimate "Foreman" button was awarded. The only button not in this 1950s series came later in 1952 with the title "Honor Member". This group also includes the 3" litho button that was worn by bank tellers. This has a 1.25" vertical scratch on the left but the rest of the paint is undamaged. The "Straw Boss" button has tiny bit of black ink off the letters "SS" of his name otherwise both this and "Foreman" are Exc.
