Item Description
3.25x12" painted tin. William Lemke was a populist Congressman from North Dakota and ally of Huey P. Long. He accepted the short lived Union Party nomination for President in 1936 and was able to garner almost 900,000 votes.  Paint smudging most notably on the "M" that occurred during production. Otherwise only a light edge wear. Extremely Fine. We see the Roosevelt mate occasionally and the Landon can be found in lot #383 but this Lemke example is most elusive. Leon Rowe Collection.
