Item Description
15x18x38.5" w/"Car-to Inc. 1675 Berkshire Dr Elm Grove Wis." stamp at lower right on one side. Constructed of two cardboard signs, each reading "Goldwater For President," stapled together at ends and connected by four plastic frames. Two of the frames have bases w/elastic cords on each end designed to connect through car window to stabilize the advertising piece on roof. Brown moisture stains around edges and staples have oxidation. Moderate handling wear including edge wear and surface paper lifts that do not affect central text. VG. Structurally fine w/bold colors. This piece was clearly used during the 1964 campaign and despite having some battle scars displays quite well. The ultimate Goldwater conversation piece that was preserved in the Leon Rowe Collection.
