Item Description
6x8.5" cover housing 4x5.5" matte photo on a 5.75x.25" cardboard mount. Three-quarter length portrait of Debs seated in an ornate Victorian era chair and wearing a bow tie. Image has tiny text "Copyright 1908 By Wilshire's Magazine" on armrest of chair. Mount has facsimile signature at bottom right and light toning most notably at top left corner. VF. Photo remains Exc. w/high contrast and beautiful clarity. The first we can recall seeing this portrait in any format. Made especially interesting by the connection to the Gaylord Wilshire published Socialist magazine. Ron Koot Collection.
