Item Description
2.5" button with curl naming maker Phila. Badge Co. Button is known to be from 1966 as it promotes their record album on the "Verve" label with the company logo at the top of the button. Over the logo and to the right are a number of very tiny and faint age dots. The only other marks are two equally light spots to the far left near the edge at 9 o'clock. The album was released June 27, 1966 and is often cited as one of rock music's first concept albums. In addition it was also one of the first double albums. Button was likely used by a record shop clerk and is quite scarce. Glossy and fine. With the button comes a 44" long strip of black cloth tapering to a point at each end and with both the top and bottom edges hemmed. At the center printed in blue over a length 4.5" long is the name "Zappa" along with tiny white letters and dots numbered from 1 to 25. Fabric is also likely 60s. Apparently used as a headband. There are scattered creases in the fabric that would iron out but no significant damage. VF.
