Item Description
Each is comprised of lustrous white metal segments with each segment engraved in large letter inscriptions. The first piece which includes a feather design, spread wing eagle and die cut early pumper is 6" tall. The second piece includes a city symbolic figural pretzel along with a state symbolic blue hen encircled by fire hose with nozzles. First item reads in full "Southern Trip Oct. 14-20-06/Wilmington/Baltimore/Hampton/Portsmouth/York-Columbia/Always Ready/Reading Hose/Instituted July 4-1819." Second reads "Reading Hose Co./No. 1./Reading Pa/Wilmington Del./Oct 6-8/1910." Tiny age traces. Overall Exc. An impressive pair of badges.
