Item Description
1.75" with W&H paper although with numerous grey and brown marks. The button itself is also stained all over but the color remains outstanding and the piece still has Exc. gloss. Full text is "Bound For Washington/From The Hot Sands Of Florida/Morocco Temple 1900." At left is foliage representing a Florida swamp while at far left is the dome of the U.S. Capitol. Shriner in tuxedo wearing his red fez and with his coattails flapping in the wind holds a baton and reins leading to the jaws of a galloping alligator. One of four examples we've seen in our 50 years. Our NM example in Auction #215 exceeded $500. While this one has obvious stain, overall it remains in VG condition and still displays wonderfully. Rare.
