Item Description
Lot of three bisques, all made in Germany by Schaefer Vader, c. 1910. Each depicts baby Snookums, from George McManus's early comic strip "The Newlyweds," featuring elegant young couple and their spoiled baby. Lot includes two nodders, one featuring Snookums playing w/bottle of ink, his hands covered in ink. Other nodder features him crawling and bisque depicts Snookums crying, his mouth open wide w/large body cavity (w/incised "Snookums" name on base) have incised Schaefer Vader crown mark and illegible numbers on undersides.
