Item Description
Typically between 9" and 10" puppets with cloth bodies and rubber heads. As with item #2260 these are by National Mask and Puppet Company. Each has copyright symbol at neck base. c. early 1950s. Lot includes Popeye, Olive Oyl and Wimpy. Puppets all have felt hands with only one finger missing from Olive Oyl. Olive also has bell attachment on one hand. Bodies have scattered aging/staining and heads have darkened with age with some scattered soiling and age spots. Popeye has fading to back of body. Wimpy head bit hardened with age but other 2 remain very pliable. Overall VG/Fine. From the Andy Levison Collection.
