Item Description
13x38x4.75" deep open display box contains large and impressive 36" long plastic rifle by Topper Toys. ©1964 DeLuxe Reading Corporation. Box is one of two different varieties, this is open box version w/fully illustrated interior. Box has some moderate corner tip wear w/creases and surface paper rubs along edges, but retains bright color and remains Fine for display. Elaborate seven guns in one set features "Grenade Launcher, Armor-Piercing Shell, Anti-Tank Rocket, Retractable Bi-Pod, Repeating Rifle, Automatic Pistol, Tommy Gun." Pistol separates from gun and stock has "Johnny Seven O.M.A." raised lettering. Elaborate set comes w/4.5" long plastic grenade, 5-5/8" long "Armor-Piercing Shell," 7" long "Anti-Bunker Missile," 7" long "Anti-Tank Rocket" and two other similar plastic missiles. All show wear from use, grenade has slight modification to string guide. Pieces are Fine overall. Gun is complete w/plastic bullets for Repeating Rifle function. Grenade launcher feature is a bit balky but works, all other gun functions work well. Gun has trace of wear to text on stock and some aging/wear to bullets, o/w VF/Exc. Complete w/original instruction sheet which has scattered aging/wear. Fine. Great, large and impressive set. Comes w/plastic "Johnny Seven Micro Helmet" which has movable mouthpiece w/built-in microphone feather that was part of set that included separate walkie talkie attached to helmet w/30' of wire. Helmet also has movable orange plastic goggles and large "Johnny Seven" sticker on forehead, showing illustration of the gun itself. Sticker shows edge wear and walkie talkie unit is not included. Top center of helmet has 2" crack. VG overall, but still nice for display w/gun.
