Item Description
First is 3-15/16" tall of fabric and white metal. Obverse jugate with names, 1889 date and "Centennial Inaugural". Fabric reverse names Washington D.C. maker Wm. Friederich with Washington image on the medal. Very faint age mark on the fabric. Overall VF. Second item is first we've seen and is 3.5" tall made of fabric and bronze. Top has pair of figural crossed logs, a reference to B. Harrison's grandfather W.H. Harrison and his famous 1840 'log cabin' campaign. These read "Washington Mar. 4. 1889". Loop below holds 1.5" medal with Harrison bust and name on front plus "Twenty Third President Of The United States". Reverse outer edge "Harrison & Morton Inaugural Ceremonies March 4, 1889" around center text "General James A. Beaver Chief Marshal" plus blank area below that. NM and rare. Ron Koot Collection.
