Item Description
Pair of 3.5x5.5” cards perforated at sides, originally joined at perforation. c. 1930s. Issued by Hazleton, PA station WAZL. One card reads “Get Your Tarzan Safety Badge Free” with image of Tarzan Safety Club button. Reverse has “The Tarzan Safety Club” pledge. Top of card has half-body illustration of Tarzan which is repeated on front of other card. Card has some moderate wear with a .5x1.25” chip off top corners and a 2.5” tear to badge section, which has glue repair. Smaller .5” tear also has glue repair. Second card features mail-away portion of card with full body image of Tarzan and “Hazle-Maid Bakers” address. Reverse has pledges again as well as mail away information for badge. Both tanned with age, VG/Fine. Scarce.
