Item Description
Barron Hilton was the Chairman of the Democratic Gala (see item #484) held the night before Inauguration Day and this piece is from The Embassy restaurant at his Statler-Hilton D.C. hotel. This is an oversized 11x14" paper menu. On the inside right is the wine/champagne list. On the inside left are some food selections printed  below title "Embassy Dinner Specialities". However, the sheet has top and bottom two staples holding 4x14" synthetic fabric ribbon titled at top "Inauguration Day/January 20,1961" followed by a listing of choices from appetizers, through dinner, salad and "Presidential Coupe or Inaugural Cake" all for "$4.75". Folder has two light vertical folds that do not show on ribbon and one horizontal fold that does. Otherwise folder is VF and ribbon is Mint. Extremely limited to hotel guests there for dinner prior to the 9 P.M. Inaugural Ball.
