Item Description
14x22" w/"Lincoln Lithograph Company" at lower left. c. 1963. Photo of an African American farmer from Greenwood, MS w/additional text "Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee" and Atlanta, GA address at bottom. Lyon was the staff photographer for SNCC and was present at many of the most important events of the civil rights movement. One tiny pin hole at top center that is noticeable only upon close inspection and minor handling wear along left edge. Extremely Fine. As striking an example as we have encountered and will display NM once framed. An iconic image produced by one of the most historically important groups of the civil rights movement.
