Item Description
Sizes are 11/16" up to the 2.75" oval. With maybe an exception or two these are all from the late 1930s going back to 1896-98 for the examples promoting "United States Express Co." and "Adams Express Company." Four buttons promote tools, eight relate to electricity, one is newspaper related referencing "Pictures By Wire", one large button promotes "Mogy's Messenger & Express Co." which we've tracked down to Omaha c. 1904. Four buttons relate to express companies and there is an early "UPS" button with the three in bottom row referencing letter carriers and the final button promoting a coal company. Row 4 #1 has a few small rim spots and row 5 #4 has light age around the rim with the others Exc. to Mint. These are all shown on pages 199-202 of Collectible Pin-Back Buttons. Comes with Hake's COA.
