Item Description
Lot contains 14 of 16 box panels that were to be cut out as 2.5x3.5" trading cards. Issued in 1967 by Phoenix Candy Co. as a follow-up to their 1966 Batman candy boxes, this later series is much rarer. Front/back panels were designed w/playing cards featuring Batman villains. Lot includes cut cards from Ace to King, including - Penguin, The Clock, The Outsider, The Eraser, Calendar Man, King Tut, The Bookworm, Ma Parker, Mr. Archer, Catwoman (using an altered image of Batgirl from her first comic book appearance) and The Riddler. Lot also includes one of four different Joker cards - "The Joker Is Wild!" Cards feature varying degrees of aging/wear w/a few exhibiting some aging/staining. Good to EX overall. Comes w/complete box featuring The Timemaster and Egghead cards. NM and scarce in this high grade condition.
