Item Description
9.5x16.5x2.25" deep box contains 1940 English set by the British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd. Lid features large image of Mickey Mouse as Sorcerer's Apprentice, additional character images and the light set itself appears on lid and side panels. Same lid art also appears on the large flip-up insert. Box lid shows edge/corner tip wear and is evenly aged w/two spots of moisture staining. Box bottom has number of large tears as well as .25x1" and 1/8x1.25" holes. Box is VG overall. Insert has some corner tip wear w/small area of penciling and is VF. Complete amount of 12 plastic shades w/glass bulbs and all wires, missing English style plug. Decals on shades feature seven different images from "Fantasia," including Mickey Mouse as Sorcerer's Apprentice, Centaurs/Centaurettes, ostrich, hippo, alligator and mushroom dancers, fairies, Zeus,, etc. Decals have darkened w/age but remain complete for the most part w/just a few small scattered flakes here and there. Fine/VF. Beautifully illustrated Fantasia set.
