Item Description
13-3/8x15.25x3.75" deep box w/wonderfully specialty art on lid contains complete 19-piece hard plastic set by The Hemco Plastics Division of The Bryant Electric Co. of Bridgeport, CT. c. 1940. Box is complete w/die-cut cardboard insert and cover. Box shows moderate wear w/scattered restoration including partial replace side panel of lid, paint touch-ups along edges/corners, etc. Lid and box bottom have some scattered moisture staining and box bottom has two 2x2" spot of surface paper lift as once taped shut. Box is VG overall, but remains nice for display. Set consists of 2-1/8" tall pitcher and handled cup, four 1-7/8" tall drinking cups, four 1-5/8" tall tea cups, 3.5" tall teapot (w/separate lid), four 3.5" dia. saucers and four 4.25" dia. plates. All feature same image of Mickey Mouse. These pieces were sold individually boxed as well as in boxed sets by this company. A few pieces show lt. scattered wear to Mickey design and a few have minor stresslines, but all are complete and VF to NM overall. Although we have offered a couple of the three-piece boxed child's set by this company, this is the first we've seen in our 50 years of this very rare large set w/exclusive pieces (the small drinking glasses). An outstanding Disney rarity.
