Item Description
Kit No. 721-400. ©1969. Kit depicts the U.S. Navy Sealab III, an experimental underwater habitat developed by the US Navy in the 1960s to prove the viability of saturation diving and humans living in isolation for extended periods of time. The knowledge gained helped advance the science of deep sea diving/rescue, and contributed to the understanding of the psychological/physiological endurance of humans. Kit came w/two scuba-diver figures w/half the exterior in clear plastic to show the interior. Sides of box lid have diagrams of Sealab. Box remains factory-sealed w/partial store price sticker on original cellophane wrap, which remains tightly sealed. Box has crease by upper left corner due to tightness of shrink-wrap. Box is VF overall. Parts remain complete w/instruction sheet and unused as factory-sealed. Mint.
