Item Description
46x68" coarse cotton. Canton has 47 stars, each individually machine sewn, in a pattern of 8-7-8-8-8-8. Header has two brass grommets. Scattered insect holes in fabric and a light brown stain  on the sixth stripe from top. A separation at bottom left between fabric of flag and header. VG. New Mexico was admitted to the Union January 6, 1912 and w/Arizona being admitted a little more than one month later, 47 star flags are among the rarest star counts and coveted by collectors.
