Item Description
7" tall tin litho designed with platform base and carrying handle. 1930s by Ohio Art Company. Exceptional wrap-around scene is titled "Mickey Mouse Picnic." Depicts Mickey playing guitar, Clarabelle dancing, Minnie cooking pancakes over a campfire, Goofy climbing a tree, Horace watches Pluto going after a beehive. Interior surface has obvious wear with paint loss. Both top and bottom rims are a bit out of round, bottom rim edge has noticeable indent on right side edge. Outside of pail has moderate scattered paint nicks and scratches. This includes a 3" long vertical scratch on Mickey image. There are also a number of minor indents really only visible in reflected light. Outside retains an extremely bright and glossy appearance with vibrant color. Overall grades VG but still displays quite nicely despite the noted defects. Rare, we know of only 3.
